To
know that which is foreign to one’s 'Self' without knowing the 'Self'
which is the knower of those things that are known — how can this be
knowledge and not ignorance? Upon knowing the 'Self', which is the
foundation both for knowledge and for its object the world, knowledge
and ignorance will indeed cease to exist.
