'Meditation on the meditator'
Friends!
Meditation can be broadly classified into two-`OBJECTIVE` and
`SUBJECTIVE`. In objective meditation, We can concentrate our mind, on
any name or form ; which will eventually exclude, all other thoughts -
the contents of an ever chattering mind. For beginners, objective
meditation will do some good, resulting in purification of mind and
glimpses of self- realization. But in subjective meditation , the object
of meditation is the meditator himself.
This method is otherwise known as `self-enquiry`, inthe form of `Who am I?, which will result in self-realization. Then the eternal, all pervading, omnipresent reality of our ` self ` will shine forth as the self-effulgent " TRUTH-BEING- EXISTENCE-CONSCIOUSNESS and BLISS; otherwise known as `GOD` , 'SELF'or `BRAHMAN`- the omnipresent and the
omnipotent. According to 'GURU RAMANA MAHARSHI' Subjective meditation in the form of `Who am I`?, or
unconditional self- surrender to the Almighty , are the only methods for `self-realization` and `sahaja samadhi`.
